The staff at the home are amazing they give my dad so much love and care, which helps our family at this very difficult time. Nothing is ever a problem, they go out of their way to meet our needs! Thank you all.

My mother has been in Tollesby Hall Care Home for nearly a year. As she needed more care. All the staff behave in a professional and caring manner. My mother is 92 and when she came she was expected to be bedridden. The nursing staff worked hard to stabilise her many infections and other problems and contacted her doctor when necessary. She now gets up a couple of hours at a time and at Christmas watched the entertainment. Any concerns I have are dealt with and communication between carers is very good. My mother is treated with respect and dignity. All the staff are friendly and helpful and make my mother feel happy and cared for. As her daughter to know my mother is cared for safe, well looked after and is mostly happy which means more than they would realise.

A heart warming tale....

We have recently had the please of reuniting a couple who had spent 100 days apart.

Due to both being in ill health and Covid restrictions this couple of 66 years had been separated for 100 days. The couple who grew up in Middlesbrough and had lived next door to each other. The seperation was extremely hard for them both.

But, with the help of the staff here at Tollesby Hall they were able to reunite.

Rachel White, activities at Tollesby Hall Care Home, said: "With the support from the team here at Tollesby we were able to reunite George and his wife again.

'When Joyce arrived here at Tollesby Hall we told her husband would be coming in soon after.

'She was so excited and nervous, she couldn't sleep, she told staff she felt like a young girl again.

'It was very emotional when we brought them together for the first time, not just for them but for all the team here at Tollesby who are looking after them.

'It was such a heart-warming moment to be a part of and moved many of us to tears"

My mother was of extremely low mood, crying regularly and wanting her life to end. But since her respite care, she is cheerful, eating well and has not seemed sad at all.

She has company and likes all the staff very much, her room is warm, clean and airy.

She was due to stay a week and has asked to stay longer, I wouldn't be surprised if she wanted to stay permanently.
